Improving equality, diversity and inclusion in Waltham Forest
Welcome to the Waltham Forest Equalities page. This is an online community set up by Waltham Forest Council for people who live and work in Waltham Forest to tell us about the ways that we can make the borough more equal and make it easier for residents to reach their potential in life.
Here you can submit your views and opinions anonymously regarding what we can do better to support residents to make a decent living. This doesn’t just relate to jobs but the factors that impact this throughout every stage of life, from school age through to adulthood and later life.
Please take a few minutes to create an account to get involved. Your input will play a big part in informing Waltham Forest Council’s upcoming Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy.
About the project
State of the Borough Report
The State of the Borough report shows how people in Waltham Forest are affected by inequalities. The report is a compilation of existing local and national research. The report is the Council’s evidence base for understanding the issues and challenges faced by many Waltham Forest residents.
By tackling inequalities we can Waltham Forest can be a place where everyone can reach their potential. To do this we need your help. Over the next few months we will be gathering feedback and speaking to residents in Waltham Forest about the specific inequalities that impact residents’ ability to make a decent living.
Your input and feedback on this page, at physical events and in our summit later in the year will be critical in shaping our new Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy. The State of the Borough report is available in several different formats, including easy read (here), large print (here), screen reader (here) and full report (here), with an animation to be produced shortly.
