Draft minutes must be provided to staff for addition on City Council agenda 5 days after a Committee meeting (New)

This was added in response to Committees asking that their voices be elevated to the City Council. Questions were raised about weather draft of final approved minutes should be elevated to the council for transparency.

Committee members must maintain respectful interaction with Town staff (Existing Standing Reso and Best Practices)

This language already exists in the current Standing Resolution. This was orifinally added so that positive civic discourse and professionalism is maintained.

Committee members must refrain from having interaction with Town vendors (Best Practices)

This was added so that staff is able to manage change orders and reduce scope creep. Additionally, staff would need to maintain negotiating position with vendors as they perceived the amount of work and potential client managementinvolved in a product or service. Town staff also needs to manage continuity of messaging and deliverables from vendor to council and community.

Committee members must maintain professionalism when interacting with the Public (Best Practices)

Committee members will need to remember that they are representing the Town and Council. This will help the Town avoid multiple messages or inconsistent messaging from individual committee members.

Addition & Removal of items by the City Manager is appealable to the City Council (Best Practices)

This was added to avoid conflict of interest and Brown Act Violations and duplication/ conflicts between committees.
