Project Overview: Construction of new playground, splash pad, and art installation to replace the Jungle Gym

Location

• The new playground and splash pad will be constructed in the grassy area inbetween the Milner Center and Gilley Pool.
• 2 entrances will be available. One from the front Milner Center parking lot and one from the back Milner Center parking lot close to the entrance to the Gilley pool.
• Splash pad and playground will be free to everyone

Amenities

1. The new playground will be 100% ADA accessible for all individuals
2. As mentioned previously, the splash pad will be free to everyone
3. Large centralized pavilions for families to hold gatherings, birthday parties, etc.
4. Bike Racks for those that may choose to ride bicycles to the new area
5. Similar to the Jungle Gym, there will be two sections for different aged kids.
6. New poured-in place surface that is safer for children and those that use the playground (No more mulch!)
7. Fitness stations located throughout the playground area for adults to use

Other Details

1. If the grant is awarded, the Jungle Gym will be torn down after construction of the new playground and splash pad has concluded and can be used.

Budget Overview
The project would be full funded by the BlueCross BlueShield Grant! We still will be required to formulate a budget and that will be posted here at a later date.
