Project Overview: Water Treatmeant Improvements to the Water Treatment Plant
Located at 200 Bell St., the Water Treatment Plant gathers water from the Barren Fork River, treats it, then sends it to the consumer for consumption and use. These upgrades are meant to provide a higher quality of water to the consumers and lower the cost of treating the water. Detailed below are the upgrades that we expect to see at the Water Treatment Plant.
- Rehabilitation of Raw Water Pumps
- Installation of Sedimentation Basins
- Upgrades to Security
- Chemical Building Upgrades
- New Control Building with New Filters, Electrical, and SCADA Controls
Funding
This project is funded from multiple sources. First, the project is funded though a State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan of $5,700,000.00 with a $2,850,000 principal loan forgiveness. We also have a TDEC ARP grant totaling $2,515,812.31 with a 10% match.
