Capilano Corridor Upgrade Project

Metro Vancouver’s Capilano Corridor Upgrade project will improve the safety and usability of Capilano Corridor between Marine Drive and Welch Street on the X̱wemelch'stn Reserve. The work is being completed under a framework agreement between Squamish Nation and Metro Vancouver developed as part of the Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment Plant project in 2018.

The upgrades to Capilano Corridor will improve safety and usability of the area for pedestrians, cyclists, residents and drivers. The work will also protect two existing Metro Vancouver water mains that run on either side of the road and provide clean, safe drinking water to the region.
