Work Thus Far
A lot has been happening to prepare for the search for the next City Manager! Here's a summary of our work thus far.
Work Thus Far
March: The City Council approved issuing a request for proposals (RFP) for an executive search firm and created a subcommittee (Councilors Brown, Doyle, and Kohn) to review proposals.
April: The Mayor was authorized to negotiate an Interim Manager agreement, and the Council approved and executed that agreement.
May: The subcommittee brought back options for search firms, and by late May, the Council unanimously selected Pracademic Partners to run the search.
June: The City Council formally approved its contract with Pracademic Partners.
July: The City Council held a public kickoff meeting with consultant Ian Coyle to discuss process, transparency, stakeholder involvement, and a revised job description. A transition plan was posted on the City's website.
August: The City Council approved launching a public survey and forming a Stakeholder Engagement Panel. A draft recruitment brochure was circulated to the Council, with a public forum planned for September.
