Mukilteo Gateway & Park Signs

About

About the Project
Mukilteo’s existing gateway and park signs are deteriorating and need replacement. The Mukilteo Welcome Signs Project was identified as a 2023 City Council priority to enhance the city’s entrances and parks. This project includes the design and installation of new welcome signs and park signs at key locations, as shown in the image below.

Project Description & Outreach
In 2023 and 2024, the City conducted extensive public outreach to gather input on the design and aesthetics of the new signs. Engagement efforts included:

• Two public open houses
• An online public survey

Based on community feedback, final sign design concepts were developed and presented to the Mukilteo City Council. The approved gateway and park sign designs are displayed below.

With the final designs completed, the project is now moving into the Contractor Bidding construction phase, which includes:

• Preparation of a bid set for construction
• Advertisement for Construction Bids
• Award Construction Contract
• Bid support during contractor selection
• Construction Phase

Project Schedule
Construction of the new signs is expected to begin in mid-to-late 2026.
