In mid-October, contractors were onsite and began work on the restoration of the South Breakwater Lighthouse. Fair weather allowed for repairs to the concrete foundation as well as an undercoating of new paint applied to the lower portion of the structure. Onshore preparation work will continue and materials secured over the winter in anticipation of restarting activities in early Spring.
