Project Update #2 - May/June 2025
Ahead of the summer season, Town Administration and DPW are moving forward with several improvements to the upper and lower parking lots at Jetties Beach.
Work is underway to push sand back toward the dunes to reclaim areas around the lots, and new bike racks have been procured for installation in the lower lot. A third ADA-accessible parking space is being added, with the original two being relocated to avoid frequent flooding from stormwater issues. The upper lot is in the process of being re-striped with a new parking configuration to accommodate up to 140 vehicles. Additionally, the NRTA shuttle stop is being relocated from the lower lot to the upper lot near the tennis courts to help reduce congestion, with plans to install new bench seating and signage near the stop.
