April 16 - First Public Workshop

Thank you to everyone who participated in the morning and evening virtual workshops for the Nantucket Strategic Retreat and Relocation Program. Your input will help inform a transparent, island-wide planning effort to address the long-term impacts of sea level rise, erosion, and coastal flooding on critical infrastructure and homes.

During these initial sessions, the project team introduced the program, shared preliminary maps of vulnerable areas, and gathered feedback through live polling and small-group discussions. This marks the beginning of a broader community conversation about how Nantucket can adapt while protecting its historic character.

If you were unable to attend, a recording of the workshop is now available, along with a brief (5-minute) survey to share your input at your convenience. Whether you live on the island year-round, seasonally, or own property here, your perspective remains an important part of shaping this effort.
