Surfside Road at Miacomet Road/Surfside Drive – All-Way Stop Piloting Outreach

The Town has partnered with MassDOT and Jacobs Engineering to evaluate and pilot conversion of the intersection from a two-way stop control to an all-way stop control. Based on an evaluation and analysis of traffic data, turning movements, speed, and crash history, as well as existing site conditions, the intersection is recommended to proceed with conversion to an all-way stop control.

The piloting of this new control condition is anticipated through the month of April. Public feedback is being solicited to understand public benefit and concerns with the change in intersection control.

Please participate in our survey or forum to let us know if the change is working for you, or not.
