Master Plan Visioning Workshop Held April 4–5, 2025

The Town of Nantucket hosted a two-day visioning workshop as part of the Master Plan Update on April 4 and 5, 2025. Facilitated by Dodson & Flinker with support from Barrett Planning Group LLC, the sessions—offered both in-person at the high school and virtually—engaged participants in meaningful discussions about community priorities, planning strategies, and long-term goals for the island.

Participants identified Nantucket’s key assets and challenges, shared perspectives on past successes, and began shaping a vision for the future by articulating shared values, definitions of success, and the resources needed to make progress. The input gathered will directly inform the Master Plan, which will guide future decisions on land use, housing, infrastructure, and sustainability.
