Somerset Needs Area/Roadway Update

As of May 15, 2025, the project team has completed the initial site assessment and surveying of all public roads within the project area, while the identification of private roads requiring surveying in Fall 2025 is currently underway. On May 14, 2025, the Select Board approved a Purchase & Sale Agreement for 77 Bartlett Road, a key component of the Somerset Area Needs Project. This site will house a new pumping station to support sewer expansion across Bartlett Road, Raceway Drive, and Somerset Road. The purchase includes a main house with three bedrooms, two baths, and a finished basement, as well as a guest house with two bedrooms, two baths, and a finished basement. Both are in move-in ready condition and designated for municipal housing upon project completion. Funding for this acquisition is authorized under Article 22 of the 2024 Annual Town Meeting, with the Housing Office having completed the necessary appraisals and inspections.
