The renovation of the library building at 206 W. College is nearing completion. The majority of the furniture and shelving for the library has been delivered, and in June, NPL staff worked to move over 145,000 items from the old shelving onto the new.
The temporary branch at 201 W. College will remain open until the time comes to move those items, furniture, and technology over to the main building. The library will likely fully close for 3-5 days to make this transition, and those dates will be shared widely.
Items remaining to be completed at the renovated building include technology installation, safety inspections, and delivery of some shelving and furniture pieces. The library is on track for a July opening, and once that date is confirmed, it will be shared on the library's website, social media and this site.
