The Town of Normal unveiled an additional sculpture in the Town of Normal Sculpture Park on Sept. 22.
"Who's There" by Herb Eaton, Bloomington, Ill., was donated by the Fund for Public Art - Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, with special thanks to these donors for their support: Jerry and Carole Ringer, Dave and Diana Hauman, Shari Buckellew, Deanna Frautschi and Alan Bedell, Dr. Danielle and John Kim, Sally Pancrazio, Drake Zimmerman and Jan Elfline, Russell and Rebecca Francois, Jane and Rob Widmer, William Edwards, Cat Woods, Herm and Fran Brandau, Mary Caisley and Janean Baird.
The sculpture joins other pieces at this latest Town of Normal amenity.
The latest sculpture is a 6' tall bronze, stainless steel and copper sculpture of a young man taking off a mask.
Eaton explained the inspiration for the statue: "he's removing his mask as a sign of beginning trust in all human relationships."
