Call for Ideas launched

Individuals, community bodies, organisations, landowners and developers are invited to submit their ideas for what should be included in North Ayrshire's third Local Development Plan, LDP3.   

This may include ideas for the development of land or buildings; ideas relating to policies to be included in LDP3 and applied to the assessment of future planning applications, or any other aspect of the new local development plan.

Please complete one form per idea and provide as much detail as possible as this will support the assessment of the idea. The deadline for the submission of ideas is Monday 30 June 2025.

All ideas submitted will be assessed on whether they are appropriate to be included in the Proposed Plan. Sites put forward for development will be assessed in line with our site appraisal methodology and will be subject of future community and stakeholder engagement. We have also published a draft appraisal methodology. Comments on this methodology are welcomed by 30 June.
