North Port Fire Rescue joined Wharton-Smith as they held a topping-out ceremony for Station 81, marking a major milestone in the reconstruction of the city's flagship fire station. The original facility, built in 1998, sustained significant damage during Hurricane Ian, prompting the $17.5 million rebuild now underway on the City Hall campus.
The ceremony gave our staff the opportunity to meet those working on the project, tour the new station and thank them for their hard work.
We extend our appreciation to our partners at Wharton-Smith, Inc. for hosting this event. Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed by December 2026.
