Utilities Building Construction Project
The City of North Port has started construction on a Utilities administration building and field office, marking a significant step towards reuniting staff and enhancing operational efficiency.
The site is situated off Pan American Boulevard between the Willow Creek development and the future Waters at North Port development.
The new building will replace the former Utilities facility on Price Boulevard, which was rendered uninhabitable by Hurricane Ian in September 2022. Since then, field staff have been operating from modular offices at the Price Boulevard site, while administrative staff are scattered across various locations, including plants and other City facilities. The project is designed by Stantec and is being constructed by Seagate Construction.
Construction is expected to be completed by the fall of 2026, at which time all Utilities staff will be reunited under one roof, facilitating better collaboration and streamlined operations.

Work accomplished:
- 1st lift of asphalt work completed for entire UAB site
- HVAC work continues in Sector A (Admin) North & South Bldgs
- Sector C (Warehouse) roof dried in w/peel & stick
- Drop ceiling metal frame work continues in Sector A (Admin)
- Insulation work continues in Sector B (Operations) Bldg
- Exterior lighting installed at Sector B (Operations) & Sector C (Warehouse) Bldgs
- Concrete Curbing installed at employee parking area
- Installed 324 LF of 8” gravity sewer main from King Manhole (#9) to Manhole #8
- Installed 46 LF of 8” gravity sewer main from Manhole #8 to Existing UAB Manhole #5
- Installed Approx. 820 LF of 6” DR 18 Force Main Pipe, (2) 6” 45 deg bends along Childrens Way toward new Lift Station site.
- Sewer Low Pressure Air Test conducted from Lift Station to Existing UAB MH #5
- Test Result-PASSED
Project Update 06-04-2026
Work accomplished:
- Paving is underway
- Fire damage to the outside of the warehouse has been repaired
- Drop Ceiling and drywall being installed
- Outside paneling being installed
