HOW TO HAVE YOUR SAY

We really want to hear from everyone, but there are a few differences in how we need you to have your say. Please follow the approach most appropriate for your age:

If you are under 13

If you are under 13, we’d love to hear from you, but we’ll need to send you a paper survey to fill in – please ask a teacher or your guardian to contact letstalk@northyorks.gov.uk

If you are aged 13-16

If you are aged 13-16 – please fill in the survey, but please ask your guardian before you share your email address with Commonplace or any of your personal details – you can still fill in the survey without giving Commonplace your details.

If you are 16 or over

If you are 16 or over, you can fill in the survey and give Commonplace your email address and details, or if you would prefer not to, you can still fill in the survey and leave it blank.

Timeline

Launch - Let's Talk Local

26 September 2022 - 23 December 2022
We're holding conversations with people across North Yorkshire about their local area and communities to find out what matters most to them. We're proposing to create a series of Community Networks and want to hear what you think about them.

Launch - Let's Talk Devolution

21st October 2022 - 16th December 2022
Leaders of the York and North Yorkshire councils have secured an ambitious devolution deal with Government. The deal includes the choice to directly elect a mayor for York and North Yorkshire who would have £540m mayoral investment fund, along with new powers and funding whilst providing the change to form a direct relationship with central government to champion our region. A new mayoral combined authority would use its funding to improve transport, adult education, increase affordable housing and support climate friendly business growth. This consultation will give you the chance to have your say.
