Community feedback being evaluated

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback into the Recreation & Sport Facility Plan for the City and District of North Vancouver. There was a very good response to the community survey with input received from residents of each unique neighbourhood across North Vancouver. In addition, more than 40 sport and recreation user groups provided insights into their needs and wishes.

The consultants who administered the survey are compiling and analyzing the information gathered from community members and user groups. They are also looking at trends, best practices, indoor/outdoor facility attributes and NVRC utilization data. The final part of their work is creating a principle-based decision-making framework to help identify priorities. A summary report and preliminary recommendations will be shared with the public in early 2024.

The new Recreation & Sport Facility Plan for North Vancouver will help the City and District make decisions related to the development, maintenance and operation of outdoor and indoor sport and recreation facilities such as arenas, pools, gymnasiums, plazas, outdoor courts, fields and parks.
