Scarboro Community

This landing page was created in direct response to conversations during the community meeting held in Scarboro in early July, following the shooting in the Scarboro Community over Memorial Day weekend. Residents expressed a strong desire for improved communication, transparency, and collaboration with the City of Oak Ridge and the Oak Ridge Police Department.

The City of Oak Ridge is committed to fostering meaningful connections between Scarboro residents, local government, and public safety officials. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to strengthening relationships, enhancing public safety, and ensuring equitable access to city services.

Rooted in community input, this effort prioritizes transparent updates, open dialogue, and collaborative goal-setting. It aims to align city actions with the values and priorities voiced by residents. Your continued feedback is essential to this work—your voice helps guide efforts to build trust, foster inclusion, and support the well-being of the Scarboro community.

This page will serve as a central hub for updates, data, and actionable plans—reflecting the city’s commitment to accountability and an ongoing partnership with the community.
