Meade Field Girl's Softball - LED Field Lighting Upgrades
Current Status - Project is out for bid
Addressing the need for safe and efficient lighting on our city's athletic fields, we are progressing with the "Meade Field Girl's Softball - LED Field Lighting Upgrades" project. This pivotal update entails replacing obsolete field lights and related electrical equipment with advanced LED lighting at the four lower Meade fields. An urgent necessity, brought on by a lighting system that is no longer effective or reliable, has raised concerns about field usability and safety during play.
Furthering our commitment to sports and recreation in Peachtree City, we recognize the importance of having well-lit, safe and accessible facilities for all, especially our budding athletes in the Girl's Softball league. As such, we are excited to announce that the city is in the beginning stages of planning to replace all athletic facility lighting city-wide. Our key endeavor moving forward is not only to improve the lighting at Meade Field but also potentially every athletic facility in Peachtree City. Your input, as residents, is invaluable in shaping the future of our recreational spaces.
The City is levering federal ARPA funds to accomplish this project. Any additional funds will be used to upgrade lighting at other athletic fields.
Project Budget - $1,800,000.00
