Project Description

Replace the existing single-lane multi-use path bridge with a 14’ wide multi-use path bridge to allow for two-way cart, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic.

December 2023 Update

The City has contracted with a design-build contractor to perform the design and construction of this bridge. Currently, Public Works has received conditional approval from the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) for a temporary path to be located on DOT right-of-way during construction. The contractor has completed the design and utility relocations necessary for the project. The contractor has submitted official paperwork for the necessary permits to the DOT and anticipated start of construction before Christmas holiday, however, this may change depending on when approval is received.
