Fire Station 198 (Vistancia)
About
To proactively plan for the public safety demands of our growing community, the Peoria City Council approved an agreement with the developers of the 7,100-acre master planned community, Vistancia Development LLC to secure land for a future Fire Station in North Peoria.
The 2.5-acre Fire Station 198 site will be located on the southwest corner of Vistancia Boulevard and North White Peak Drive within the Northpointe at Vistancia community. The phased facility will be adjacent to the future City of Peoria Northpointe Neighborhood Park and will include up to five bays supporting the fire and medical needs of our growing community. Peoria has budgeted $20.8M for this project.
Initial plans included a Joint Public Safety Facility, which would have added a Peoria Police Substation onsite. However, due to the grade of the terrain, it was not feasible to construct both the Fire Station 198 and a police substation in this location, as such plans are in the works to expand Police Station 107, 23210 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway to meet the growth needs of Police. The cost of the expansion of the Police Patrol Service Building at the Pinnacle Peak Public Safety Facility is $11.1 million and is programmed for FY26-FY27.
