Workforce Programs

The Town of Peterborough is hosting a series of workforce programs aimed at providing individuals with a pathway to gain skills and certifications in energy efficiency. Delivered by experienced industry professionals and Lakes Region Community College instructors, these programs provide the basics necessary to get started in a career or for professionals to add to their credentials.

Thanks to the US Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG), we are offering tuition assistance to those who can demonstrate they intend to use the skills gained as part of a career in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire.

The programs are available to those outside the Monadnock Region for a fee.

Upcoming Courses

Weatherization Installer Fundamentals
JUNE 4-6, 8am-4pm at MAXT Makerspace, Peterborough NH

MAXT and Lakes Region Community College is offering a Weatherization Installer Fundamentals course to learn installer skills. Over three days, participants will have hands-on instruction from experienced installers covering:
Day 1: Weatherization Basics
Day 2: Air Sealing Fundamentals
Day 3: Retrofit Insulation Fundamentals

This entry-level training is aimed at weatherization installers with little or no experience. Participants may be eligible for a full tuition award from NHSaves or Town of Peterborough! Please fill out the form below or email roy@maxtmakerspace.org to determine eligibility.

This training can lead to NREL/WAP’s Retrofit Installer badges, BPI’s RIT certification, and Registered Apprentice opportunities.
