Eastern Promenade Trail Extension Opens

MacKay Construction has completed the widening of the Eastern Promenade Trail along Thames Street (India St to Hancock St.), and work is underway on the new 20-foot waterfront boardwalk featuring upgraded guardrails.

A utility pole still needs to be removed and pavement in that area. The asphalt is fresh and will continue to cure and harden up over the coming weeks so only foot track and bicyclists are permitted on the pathway.

Work on the rest of the park continues with concrete pours along the new boardwalk. Concrete installation for the pathways and lawn placement will be taking place over the next few weeks.
