Second round of Electrify Everything!

In April 2023, the Sustainability Office launched the Electrify Everything! e-bike incentive program to help income-eligible Portland residents purchase an electric bicycle or electric cargo bicycle that would provide a reliable, practical transportation option that does not rely on fossil fuels. The program supports goals identified in One Climate Future to reduce vehicle miles traveled in automobiles and to reduce carbon emissions from transportation.

Portland households with an income of up to 80% of the local median income (LMI) were eligible for the incentive. The incentive covered 60% of the cost of a standard e-bike and eligible accessories or a cargo e-bike and eligible accessories; the maximum incentive for a standard e-bike and eligible accessories was $1,500, and the maximum incentive for a cargo e-bike and eligible accessories was $3,000. Portland households with an income of up to 80% of the local median income (LMI) were eligible for the incentive.

THIS ROUND OF THE PROGRAM HAD OUTSTANDING INTEREST IN WHICH WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE 60+ HOUSEHOLDS WITH INCENTIVES FOR AN E-BIKE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT TIME WE ARE ABLE TO RUN THIS PROGRAM.
