Emergency Planning

Emergency preparedness is a cornerstone of a strong, resilient community, and the City of Portland is dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of its residents. As part of an effort to update our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), we are focused on enhancing how we prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. This updated plan will outline strategies to protect people and property during crises while reflecting the unique needs, resources, and values of our community.

Your voice is critical in shaping this important public safety initiative. By sharing your insights, concerns, and ideas, you'll help ensure that the City's approach to emergency management is inclusive, practical, and effective. Community contributions will be carefully reviewed and play a meaningful role in guiding policy decisions as we strengthen Portland's ability to respond to unexpected events while fostering trust and open communication.
