Training Opportunity! “Quitting Tobacco Together”

Join Portland Public Health staff for a virtual training on June 10th!

Talking about tobacco can be difficult, but it makes a big difference.

One of the best things you can do for someone's health is talk to them about their tobacco use. Build confidence and skills for these conversations in our free training!

Join Portland Public Health staff virtually on Tuesday, June 10th from 1-2pm to learn kind, non-judgmental ways to talk to peers, clients, and youth about their tobacco use. You will learn how to engage clients and how to refer someone to support services like the Maine QuitLink, which makes people 2-3 times more likely to quit successfully. The training includes a brief overview of today's tobacco landscape, addressing common questions adults have about vaping and tobacco.

This training is free and open to all. Please register using this form.

Planning to attend the Alignment’s quarterly meeting the next day, June 11th? Portland Public Health staff will be available for those interested in additional resources for their community or organization.
