Approved Renfrew East Secondary Plan

Official Plan Amendment No. 14 introduced the new Renfrew East Secondary Plan. The Amendment was approved by Council on March 25, 2025. This strategic initiative introduces a comprehensive approach to land use, transportation networks, and development phasing, all while embedding policies that, will steer the growth of the Town over a 30-year horizon as outlined in the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024. The Plan is designed not only to guide the extension of vital services and infrastructure but also to direct the responsible disposal of surplus municipal lands, ensuring that future advancements align with both local and Provincial planning frameworks.

Residents of the Town of Renfrew were invited to submit their written comments regarding the proposed Renfrew East Secondary Plan and/or attend the public meeting being held at the Town Hall during the regularly scheduled Council Meeting on February 25th, 2025.

All residents, property owners, and developers are encourage to review the The Renfrew East Secondary Plan, land use schedule, and appendices in conjunction with the Town of Renfrew Official Plan and the County of Renfrew Official Plan to understand how it affects their property, and the long term development of their community.
