Balmer's Bay Road - Rehabilitation

Balmer's Bay road is a tar and chip road and was last rehabilitated as part of the CNL Water Main project in 2017. It is common practice with tar and chip roads that these get resurfaced approximately every five to seven years based on condition. Balmer Bay Road has a PCI, based on the 2021 data, of 54 (fair condition). However, over the past two years the road has experienced deterioration and is now in the poor condition range.

The scope of the project is to apply a third lift of surface treatment, reconstruct area where codoroy road is exposed and shoulder/ditchto provide proper drainage off the roadway.

This project was put on hold in 2024 due to contractor availabilty and is due to recommence in the summer of 2025.
