Short Term Accommodations Consultation
The Township of Whitewater Region is launching public consultation on Short Term Accommodations. Short Term Accommodations (or STAs for short) are properties that are rented for a period of 28 days or less. This could include renting a private room or renting the entirety of a house or seasonal property.
We want to hear about your experience as an operator, visitor, or neighbour of an STA, the opportunities STAs provide for tourism in the Township, and recommendations on how to mitigate the impacts of STAs.
There are two ways to get involved in this initiative:
First, we welcome you to attend one of our in person Open Houses:
- February 29, from 3-4 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. at the Westmeath Disrtict Recreation Hall at 119 Synton Street
- March 7, from 3-4p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. at 44 Main Street Cobden in the Downstairs Hall
Second, if you are unable to attend in person or you want to provide additional feedback, you can take our Short Term Accommodations Survey.
