To: Property Owners in the area of the Pleasant View Municipal Drain

Current Phase
The Engineers have prepared a Preliminary Engineering Report which council has requested be presented to the public for comments prior to a council meeting to consider the preliminary engineering report is scheduled. Following June 18, 2026 Open House, an additional notice will be issued with details on the "Meeting to Consider" required by the Drainage Act. Public engagement after current phase is vital as we work towards sustainable and equitable improvements to the Pleasantview Municipal Drain. Through this engagement process, we aim to foster collaboration, gather feedback, and refine the Preliminary Engineering Report before its formal consideration. All feedback collected will be reviewed and may inform the final recommendations to Council, ensuring decisions reflect the needs and perspectives of our community.

The purpose for the meeting on June 18th is to provide a forum for property owners and agencies to review the proposal and discuss the options and how they address the goals, and objectives of the need for improvements. A public meeting also allows an opportunity to discuss the constraints of the drainage project with the engineer and provide a deeper understanding of the options and associated costs.
