County Recreational Trails

Revel in Renfrew County’s finest! Our County currently takes pride in maintaining two beautiful linear parks for public enjoyment - the Algonquin Trail and the K & P Recreational Trail.

The Algonquin Trail, forming a part of the splendid Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail (OVRT), crossing the County from our eastern border in Arnprior, to our northwestern-most tip in the United Townships of Head, Clara & Maria, is a staggering 216km of scenic beauty. The shorter but equally charming K & P Recreational Trail runs almost 23km, from its junction with the Algonquin Trail in the Town of Renfrew, all the way to the hamlet of Calabogie.

Your insight matters to us as we aim to improve the governing, management, maintenance, design, and rehabilitation of these beloved trails. This is your chance be part of the journey and impact the enhancement of these spaces, shaping your own experiences and those of our larger Renfrew County community.
