Petawawa Logo Redesign and Rebranding
The Town of Petawawa Logo Redesign and Branding initiative is a strategic project aimed at refreshing and modernizing the town’s visual identity to better reflect its evolving community and values.
This initiative involves updating the logo, color palette, and design elements to convey Petawawa’s unique character—its connection to nature, rich history, military and vibrant community spirit.
Additionally, the project will see adaptable logo variations developed for key events and programs, allowing each to maintain a distinctive look while being instantly recognizable as part of Petawawa’s brand family.
The project will involve community input and stakeholder collaboration to ensure that the redesigned branding resonates with both residents and visitors alike.
"The new branding will enhance the town's recognition and appeal across various platforms, supporting tourism, business attraction, and community engagement efforts," says Petawawa's Manager of Economic Development, Christine Mitchell.
Through this initiative, Petawawa seeks to enhance its visual impact, strengthen community pride, and ensure that all branding materials—from corporate communications to event promotions—speak with a clear, cohesive voice.

RFQ Awarded to Syntax Strategic
The Town of Petawawa is excited to announce that Syntax Strategic Communications has been awarded the contract for the municipal rebranding and logo redesign project. Syntax Strategic Communications, a nationally recognized communications firm specializing in strategic branding, graphic design, marketing and public relations, was selected through a competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ) process. The firm brings a wealth of experience working with municipalities and organizations across the region, including successful projects for the Town of Renfrew, Township of Whitewater Region, and the Carp Business Improvement Association (BIA). The rebranding and logo redevelopment will occur in January/February 2025 with implementation of the new branding guidelines and unvileing of the new municipal logo to follow. The updated logo and branding elements will be phased in across all Town communications, signage, and promotional materials, offering a unified look and feel that strengthens Petawawa’s presence within the Ottawa Valley and beyond.
