Water Main Relining - Before & After

Water Main Relining Project (Multi Year)

The Town of the Deep River will be proceeding with the Water Main Relining Project. This project is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the quality and reliability of our water system. The scope of work includes cleaning and relining the interior of the existing water mains to extend their lifespan and enhance water quality. Additionally, we will be upgrading associated infrastructure, such as valves and fire hydrants, within the project area to ensure the overall system operates efficiently.

Project Area:
The 2024 water main relining project in the Town of Deep River will encompass the following areas:

  1. Algonquin Street: From Summit Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue.
  2. Troyes Street: From Glendale Avenue to Hillcrest Avenue.
  3. Glendale Avenue: From Algonquin Street to Troyes Street.
This project will address the water mains within these specified sections.

**Water Disruptions: **
During the Water Main Relining Project, there may be water disruptions, including temporary loss of water service and/or discolouration. Staff will make every effort to provide timely communication to directly affected residents with as much notice as possible. However, residents throughout the Town may experience some water discoloration during the project.

Please check the Town’s website and social media pages regularly for updates.

If you experience discolored water, run only your COLD WATER TAPS (recommended taps: outdoor hose, bathtub, or laundry tub) until the water runs clear. Do not use hot water until your cold water runs clear.

If you lose water service and were not notified in advance, please contact Public Works at 613-584-2000 ext. 127 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM). For after-hours emergencies (4:00 PM – 8:30 AM), call 1-800-342-6442
