The Rural Municipality of Springfield is committed to securing and providing a sustainable water supply for the Dugald and Oakbank region and is currently in the planning stages for the implementation of the new Dugald Oakbank Water System (DOWS) water treatment plant and supply. Through the Oakbank, Dugald, and Anola Public Water Systems, the RM of Springfield Water and Waste Department has remained committed to ensuring safe and reliable water resources for its residents. However, as our community continues to thrive, our existing water treatment facilities have approached their operational capacity. This constraint has become an impediment to progress, hindering the development of new housing projects, local businesses, public amenities, and even posing challenges to our fire department.
