Wasena Skatepark Construction Update

Construction of the new Skatepark is rolling along and remains on schedule!

Site preparation activities for the new Wasena Skatepark are now complete.

Our contractor, Artisan Concrete, has successfully installed erosion and sediment control measures and removed the former tennis and basketball courts. Right now, the contractor is focused on installing the underground stormwater conveyance system, a vital step in ensuring the long-term durability and drainage of the park. Coming up next, we will begin rough grading of the site to shape the terrain and set elevations for key skatepark features. These foundational efforts are essential to support the exciting elements that will define the final build including custom concrete structures and a pump track designed to challenge and inspire all levels of skaters and rollers.

As construction on the skatepark continues, we want to remind everyone to please respect the fencing perimeter around the site and follow the greenway detour. Sticking to designated paths helps to keep the project on track and keeps everyone safe.

Stay tuned! We will continue to share updates as this exciting new project takes shape in Wasena Park.
