McCadden Park Master Plan

Marvel Designs of Richmond has been selected to lead landscape architecture and planning efforts for the development of master plans for Washington and McCadden parks. In July, community members joined us for a public meeting to share ideas and help shape the vision for both spaces.
We’re continuing to collect input through online surveys, which will be used to guide the next phase of planning. This feedback will be shared during public meetings in fall 2025, where we’ll take a closer look at design concepts and potential features. Final master plans are expected to be completed this winter. Thank you for being part of the process as we plan for the future of our parks!# Coming soon!
Once completed, the master plan will help the City make decisions about McCadden Park improvements as funding becomes available.

McCadden Park Master Plan Feedback
The McCadden Park Master Plan will seek to build better connections and access between recently redeveloped park amenities, provide more shade, and create new amenities prioritized by the community. It will encompass the entirety of Washington Park, including both the upper and lower sections of the park.
We’re continuing to collect input through online surveys, which will be used to guide the next phase of planning.
