City of Salinas Cesar Chavez Library and Park Renaming Survey

The City of Salinas recently conducted a community renaming process for City parks and library facilities currently bearing the name of Cesar Chavez. As part of this process, community members were invited to submit proposed names for consideration.

We received hundreds of submissions from members of the Salinas community. Each submission was reviewed to determine whether it met the established requirements for consideration.

Following this review, the City has identified the submissions that meet the requirements and are eligible for consideration. We are now asking the community to help us determine which name(s) should move forward.

Please review the eligible names below and vote for the name you would like to see selected for the park or library facility.

Your participation is an important part of this community-driven process.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a name and to all those participating in this next step.
