Sanitary Sewer (City Sewer System Charge) Rate Adjustment Notice
Reminder: As approved by the City Council, sanitary sewer rates are subject to annual adjustments over a five-year period from Fiscal Years 2025–26 through 2029–30. The next scheduled rate increase will take effect on July 1, 2026.
RATE ADJUSTMENT NOTICE
Effective July 1, 2026, the monthly residential sewer rate will increase from $16.35 to $16.68, as approved by Salinas City Council Resolution No. 23332 on 9/23/2025. Commercial/industrial rates will adjust based on flow and strength.
Residential Sewer Payment Assistance Program:
Eligible residential customers may receive a one-time annual sewer bill payment assistance of 15%.
