To meet space needs, the City of Sanford is constructing a second building at the Sanford Municipal Center. In addition to office space, the project will provide the community with a new linear park, its second free splash pad, and a half-mile greenway that will connect the multi-use space to the future Sanford Central Green.

Building
- The new building will total approx. 33,500 sq. ft., with ~29,000 sq. ft. finished at opening and 4,200 sq. ft. reserved as shell space for future growth.
- The first floor will house customer service functions, including bill pay, zoning and building inspections intake, and engineering.
- A bridge connector on the second floor that connects the new building to the existing building.
- Public access will be through the new building’s ground-level front door.
