Terra-Turner Waterline Replacement Project Update for the Week of 4/29/2024

Main construction activity and items to watch for:

The Contractor will continue as shown on the map below.

• Work on S. Sheridan Ave. will include concrete placement at the intersection with Brundage Lane and all along the street prepping and placing concrete. All users affected on S. Sheridan Ave. are now on the new water system.
• Backfill and flushing on the south end of Terra Ave. and all along the street prepping/placing concrete. Users on the south end of the street, from Kane Funeral Home south, will switch from the temporary water system to the new waterline.
• Work on Riverside will include assembling a temporary water system for users on the west end. Beginning mid-week excavating and installing waterline at the intersection with Sheridan Ave. working east.
• Concrete preparation and placement on Turner/Terra and Sheridan Ave.

Planned location of construction and road closures for week of 4/29:

*S. Sheridan Ave. will remain closed through the beginning of the week on the south end for a concrete placement. After the concrete is properly cured, the street will be opened. Possibly as soon as Thursday.

• Terra Ave. – Main activity will be on the south end. The street will open to through traffic on Tuesday.
• Riverside - The street will be closed on the west end after Terra is open and further east once S. Sheridan is open.

Access:

Terra Ave:

The Contractor will open this street to through traffic on Tuesday. Prior to this, all business access should continue from the north.

Sheridan Ave:

All businesses access from the north. Street will open later in week but for a couple days access from Riverside may need to go through Terra/Turner.

Riverside:

West end will close mid-week when Terra Ave. opens.

Businesses that may experience a water shutoff – to be coordinated with separate notice.

Temporary switches to/from the temporary water system for businesses on the south end of Terra and the west end of Riverside.

Other items of note to watch for:

Please try to limit parking on the streets.

Watch for the temporary water system when driving and the open pits.
