Terra-Turner Waterline Replacement Project
Main construction activity and items to watch for:
- Completion of the waterline installation on Sheridan Ave.
- Excavating and waterline installation on Terra Ave moving south.
- Concrete preparation and placement on Turner/Terra and Sheridan Ave.
Planned location of construction and road closures for week of 4/15:
The Contractor will continue with two crews as shown on the map below.
Work on Terra Ave. will include installation of waterline on the south end and all along the street reconnecting services and prepping/placing concrete. As the services are switched to the new mainline the holes will backfilled and cleaned up.
Work on S. Sheridan Ave. will include backfilling at the intersection with Brundage Lane and all along the street reconnecting services and prepping/placing concrete. The street will have one through lane open beginning mid-week.
Crews will also be working on Riverside St. cutting asphalt and beginning for that phase of the project which is slated to begin 4/22.
Access:
Terra Ave:
Sheridan Self Storage and WWC Engineering should access from the south beginning of the week, switching from the north mid-week. All other businesses should continue to access from the north.
Sheridan Ave:
All businesses access from the north. Access from Brundage Lane will be open mid-week.
Golden Dragon access off of Brundage Lane, switching from S. Sheridan Ave. mid-week.
Businesses that may experience a water shutoff – to be coordinated with separate notice.
Easter Seals and Fremont Motor on Monday.
All businesses on Terra Ave. and those south of Creekside Dental on Sheridan Ave. will have a short shutdown when their service is switched if it hasn’t already been. The Contractor will provide notification prior to the shutdown and if it’s not a convenient time, can do it another time.
Other items of note to watch for:
Please try to limit parking on the streets.
Watch for the temporary water system when driving and the open pits.
