Terra-Turner Waterline Replacement Project Update for the Week of 5/27/2024

Main construction activity and items to watch for:

The Contractor will continue work as follows:

• No work will occur on Monday, Memorial Day.
• Main activity will be on Riverside St. excavating and installing waterline. Approximately half of the waterline is installed on this street.
• Work on S. Sheridan Ave. will include prepping the street for asphalt and cleanup. Asphalt is tentatively scheduled to begin the first week of June and the street will be open one way during that week.
• Work on Terra Ave. will include cleanup and prepping for asphalt.
• There will also be work on concrete preparation and placement of parking areas and curb and gutter on Turner/Terra and Sheridan Ave.

Planned location of construction and road closures for week of 5/27:

• S. Sheridan Ave. is now open for local traffic.
• Terra Ave. is now open for local traffic.
• Riverside - The street is closed to through traffic. Road closure is about mid-way down the street and will move east.

Access:

Terra Ave:

Street is open to local through traffic.

Sheridan Ave:

Street is open to local through traffic.

Riverside:

The street is closed east of the intersection with Terra. Access to all businesses except Bloedorn, Tire Rama, and Riverside Autobody should approach from the west via S. Sheridan Ave to Riverside St.

Businesses that may experience a water shutoff – to be coordinated with separate notice.

Those on temporary water could be switched to the new waterline and might be notified of a brief outage.

Other items of note to watch for:

Please try to limit parking on the streets.

Watch for the temporary water system when driving and the open pits.
