Help Shape What's Next for Eldorado Park!
Scottsdale Parks & Recreation is moving forward with the design of new and enhanced recreational opportunities at Eldorado Park, located within the Indian Bend Wash between Murray Lane and McDowell Road.
This project builds on community input gathered through the 2019 Indian Bend Wash Master Plan: Thomas to McKellips, which established a long-term vision and identified priorities for future improvements.
Now, we're taking the next step by developing more detailed designs and inviting the community to help refine them.
Your feedback will help shape how these improvements look, function and fit within Eldorado Park.

Historical Timeline
1967 | Eldorado Park Established
Established in 1967 as Scottsdale's first community park, Eldorado Park has served generations of residents as a place to play, gather and enjoy the outdoors. Over the decades, stormwater management improvements and investments in recreational amenities, landscaping and infrastructure have helped the park evolve to meet the community's changing needs.
2019 | Indian Bend Wash Master Plan
Scottsdale gathered community feedback to develop a long-term vision for the southern Indian Bend Wash, including Eldorado Park. The master plan identified priorities and general improvement areas, with conceptual illustrations showing possibilities rather than final designs for individual amenities.
2023 | Lakes and Irrigation Improvements
Through the voter-approved Bond 2019 program, Scottsdale completed major lake and irrigation infrastructure improvements at Eldorado Park, including a new pump station, irrigation upgrades and lake restorations. While much of this work is less visible to visitors, it addressed important infrastructure needs and laid the groundwork for future recreational improvements.
Now | Recreation Design
Scottsdale is advancing the design of recreational improvements identified in the master plan. Community feedback will help refine specific features and how they fit within Eldorado Park.
