Serving Up Improvements for Scottsdale Tennis
Get ready to serve, rally and play! Three Scottsdale parks — Ironwood Park, Thunderbird Park and Northsight Park — are getting major tennis court improvements as part of an exciting investment in Scottsdale’s parks system. Funded through the Parks & Preserve Sales Tax, the projects will give each location a fresh, modern upgrade designed to enhance the experience for tennis players of all ages and skill levels.
What’s Coming
All three locations will receive:
New post-tension concrete courts
New fencing
New poles and nets
New benches
New LED lighting
These improvements will create durable, high-quality courts and a more comfortable, enjoyable environment for players — whether you’re playing a competitive match, getting in some practice or enjoying a casual game with friends.
Construction Schedule
Thunderbird Park
9170 E. Thunderbird Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
Construction August 31, with estimated completion in mid-November.
Ironwood Park
18650 N. 94th St., Scottsdale, AZ 85260
Construction begins September 14, with estimated completion in late November.
Northsight Park
8400 E. Thunderbird Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
Construction begins September 17, with estimated completion in early December.
Construction schedules and completion dates are approximate and weather permitting. Courts will be closed during construction.
