The Borough of State College is developing the community's first Climate Action, Resiliency, and Environmental Sustainability Plan. In 2018, State College Borough Council adopted Resolution 1229, committing the organization to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and 100% renewable energy by 2050. This plan will serve as a guide for the organization and community members to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen the Borough's environmental conservation efforts, and improve community resiliency to the impacts of climate change.
