Climate Ambassador Program
The Borough of State College is committed to developing a strategy to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions and 100% renewable energy by 2050.
Help create a healthier and more resilient State College by becoming a Climate Ambassador.
The Climate Ambassador program is a community engagement and educational outreach initiative that encourages State College Borough residents to get involved in the Borough's sustainability initiatives and engage with the public about various climate-related topics.
Through this program, Ambassadors will gain the knowledge to engage with the community on a variety of climate-related topics such as carbon reduction strategies, resiliency planning, nature-based solutions, renewable energy, environmental justice, and equity considerations.
Sustainable State College will train the ambassadors to ensure that they are equipped with the most up-to-date information about climate change and have the skills to communicate effectively. Participants will have the chance to make meaningful connections with the community and share input on how State College can be more sustainable. These efforts will help Sustainable State College to develop a more community and equity-based climate action plan.
