State College Borough Bicycle Ambassador Program
**What is a Bicycle Ambassador? **
Bicycle Ambassadors are bike-loving community members that lead by example and help get people on bikes. At least one time per quarter, a public engagement, education, or outreach program will be hosted through this initiative. Ambassadors support the local cycling community by assisting the Borough with community outreach events, engaging and networking with cyclists, educating the public, and making recommendations for infrastructure improvements. This volunteer opportunity has a minumum one year volunteer committment.

**What is the Bicycle Ambassador Program? **
The Bicycle Ambassador Program is a community education and safety campaign that aims to do the following:
- Increase public knowledge of Share the Road practices
- Promote bicycling as a sustainable mode of transportation
- Increase public knowledge of bike laws, ordinances, and safe and legal bicycling techniques
- Encourage bicycle advocacy by networking, engaging, communicating, and partnering with cycling related organizations
